BSNL To Offer Landline To Landline STD Calls At Local Rates

After Triggering price war in the 3G Mobile and Data service, India’s National Telecom Back Bone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has now come with another groundbreaking offer for its Landline subscribers in India.
According to BSNL Chennai website, from 1 December 2010, BSNL Landline subscribers (except PCO) can make STD Calls to any Landline phone of any network across India just at Local rates, i.e. Rs. 1 or Rs. 1.20 (depends on customers Landline Plan) for 3 minute (180 seconds) as by default tariff without any pack.
Presently the STD Call pulse rate is 120 seconds (2 Min).BSNL is largest landline service provider with 35.1 million Basic Phone subscribers i.e. 85 per cent share of the subscriber base and 92 percent share in revenue terms connecting 602 Districts, 7330 cities/towns and 5.6 Lakhs villages in India.
